Brucie Porter works as a Research Fellow for the Consortium. A native of Auburn, Alabama, Brucie graduated with a B.A in history from the University of the South (Sewanee) and is a doctoral candidate at Auburn University. Prior to joining the Consortium, Brucie conducted research and interpretive work for the City of Montgomery and the Encyclopedia of Alabama. Her academic work focuses on the intersections of identity, education, and place in the American South.
